2026 Participant Biographies

S. Lisa Smith identifies as dual gender. She is a 76 year old retired attorney. She has volunteered at the local aquarium and is active in her synagogue. She has surfed for almost 60 years and hopes to be surfing for many more years. She has attended The Keystone Conference for 7 years as well as being a volunteer. At three previous Keystones she led discussions on being dual gender, which were well attended. She also led workshops at The Paradise Conference in Atlanta in 2022 and 2024, First Event in Boston in 2024, and Atlanta Comfort in 2024 and 2025. She also attended First Event in 2020 and was in the fashion show. She loves reaching out to cisgender folks and educating them about the huge transgender umbrella and is active on Facebook. She is a proud member of The Vanity Club, a service and social organization for trans women. She is fortunate to be married to the same woman for 50 years who is supportive and gives her space to be Lisa.
