2025 Participant Biographies

Skylar W. Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Art Therapist. They recently opened a Private Practice this past September called Welcoming Connections, LLC with use of space at the Central PA LGBT Center in Harrisburg. Skylar knows personally and professionally the challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community and strives to do more to be a part of the Queer community. They are an avid reader and student of life, have a wife of 35 years, have 2 cats, value nature and spirituality, enjoy good food and drink as well as open to meaningful conversations about life and promoting well-being through making art, play, and humor. For the past 2 years, Skylar has also been the lead co-facilitator of Acrasid, a Trans/Nonbinary Group which meets weekly in Lancaster city under the banner of The Eastern PA Trans Equity Project.
