2025 Participant Biographies

Born in Los Angeles to Chinese Immigrants fleeing mainland China during communist revolution. Growing up in Southern California (Los Angeles, Santa Monica, La Habra and Fullerton) Discovered at an early age (<10 year old) her penchant to wear girls clothes By age 17-18 learned to accept herself and love herself Early adulthood stayed closeted dresser Age 36 first time out fully dressed (not during Halloween) Not ready to transition learn to live the bigender lifestyle (part time crossdresser) sort of boy by day, girl by night effort. Continues to live this lifestyle Age 54 started the online highly successful meetup group, Los Angeles (formerly Billings) TG Meetup Group. We have just celebrated our 10th anniversary and have nearly 700 members Weekly meetup outings scheduled regularly with now well over 1000 scheduled meetups under out belt. College: UCLA, major chemistry Medical School: UCLA Internship residency: UCLA internal medicine Fellowship training: UCLA Hematology Oncology Previous medical faculty at UCLA Currently local offices in Santa Monica and Inglewood. Actively engaged in travel medicine (current locations include Maine, Alaska, Kansas City) Noteworthy achievements: Numerous publications both primary and coauthorship including two seminal articles reflecting discovery of the HER2 gene in breast cancer (Science 1987, 1989), Awarded $40,000 fellowship research grant; Received top 10% faculty teaching award (May 2023) University of Missouri, Kansas City.
