2026 Participant Biographies
Jamie Yve Brown is a Deaf/HOH, transmasculine non-binary, or as they prefer, transbinary (as in transcending the binary) person, who is an author, artist, performer, public speaker, advocate, & owner of The Blessed Chest, where their message is, “We’re all jewels and gems in the Treasure Chest of The Universe. If pearls were faceted like diamonds, they would be flawed. Likewise, if diamonds were milky in color, like pearls, they would be flawed, so being yourself is the best way for you to truly shine!” Jamie Yve Brown is also the director of Rivertown Pride Center in Columbia, PA, working to help connect people with resources that support the LGBTQIA+ community, and resources to increase accessibility of LGBTQIA+ events for community members with disabilities. They use a wheelchair and also have ADHD, dyslexia, PTSD, and several other disabilities.
Jamie Yve Brown is a person who lives life at the intersection of Disability Accessibility & LGBTQIA+ Inclusion, and much of their work centers around intentional Accessibility & Inclusion. Intentional Accessibility & Inclusion, plans for accessibility & inclusion of people with disabilities LGBTQIA+ people from the start rather then retrofitting an event, program, or business later in the planning. They have presented in their own webinars, and at events such as the 2024 TransTech Summit. They have performed at the York County Pride and New Cumberland's Cute Lil' Pride Picnic, under their drag name, Hayden N. Plaincite. Some ot their workshops center around using the arts for self-care and advocacy.
